What is a trust center?
A trust center (or trust page) is a public-facing page where a company publishes its security and compliance posture — certifications like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, subprocessors, policies, and control summaries — so that prospective customers can self-serve answers before sending a security questionnaire. A good trust center deflects some review work by answering common questions up front.
What it typically includes
Trust centers commonly list current certifications and reports (often gated behind an NDA request), a summary of key controls, data-handling and subprocessor information, and a way to request documents. Some are backed by live compliance data so the posture shown is always current.
Trust center vs questionnaire answering
A trust center reduces inbound questions, but it rarely eliminates them — buyers still send custom questionnaires and portal requests for anything the page doesn’t cover. The two are complementary: a trust center handles the common case, and an answering process handles the long tail.
